Taking from my previous project, a class group project called for a piece on unique aspects of New York, so naturally, a typewriter store that’s been able to stay in business all these years was a great subject to work on. We made a book with a wood cover and metal hinges and laser cut into the cover and the stand.
I’ve been meaning to get into branding, and there’s a small typewriter store in Gramercy New York that’s still in business. They service typewriters and hp printers and the owner has never owned a single computer. I made a visual identity if the store would market to a younger audience interested in vintage typewriters.
